Opinions

Opinions are just someone’s thoughts. They are not necessarily true, nor what you need to agree with. The most important opinions you can have are your own. Your opinions about you either help you move forward or can stop you in your tracks.

You need to develop good opinions regarding your self-worth, your goals and what you have to offer.

Don’t let other people’s opinions determine your outcome. It doesn’t matter what they think.

If you know that you are on the right track, and you are working on worthy goals to move yourself onward and upward, that is what counts.

Take the next few days to think about the opinions you have…about yourself. Are you meeting your own expectations? If not…change something and work on building the pathway to your own success! “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Pushing Yourself To the Limit

Young people often are putting limits on themselves, and the older we get, the more limits we tend to put on ourselves.   Why is that?

There can be many reasons, physical limitations being one. But what about the limitations we put on ourselves, just because we think a certain way?

Maybe your household is not very positive. Maybe your parents told you; “you will never do that.” Maybe you have told yourself; “I could never do that.” The common thread here is that you are stopping yourself. You are talking yourself out of pursuing something that is important to you out of insecurity, fear, who knows? I’ll tell you who knows…you do.

So STOP putting limits on what you can do-in your head. Your head is where it starts, and where all of the creative juices can flow. Don’t allow that! You need to start changing that perception today! What is it that you want to accomplish? Where do you want to be in the next year or two? Time is marching on, and you need to get in step! You can do this! You are amazing! Just believe it!

Your Body Is Where You Live

How would we value our health if we looked at our bodies as “where we lived?”

There are so many times it is easy to abuse our bodies…too much to drink, eat, even worse; maintaining addictive behaviors such as the use of drugs and alcoholism.

What does this type of abuse do to our bodies? It weakens us. It changes our spirit. It can cause us to feel “less than” others. It prevents us from achieving our best life.

When you think about it, our bodies tolerate a great deal of abuse. People can lose hundreds of pounds, gain weight back, and lose it again. Our skin is simply amazing, in that it supports us, protects us and allows us to weather many of these changes, while protecting our organs and trying to ensure we maintain our health. I guess that’s where the saying, “Develop some thick skin!” came from.

No “body” is perfect. Embrace what you have and who you are. Realize that you can really change your unhealthy habits and create new ones. After all…your life may depend on it one day. Let's not wait! “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Life Is Like A Mirror

You know what they say about the universe? You bring back to yourself what you put forth. Or more simply stated; you get back what you give.

It may not be exactly what you give, but give this a try today; just smile at people you come in contact with. You don’t have to do more than that.

Watch what happens to others, but pay attention what that simple little action does for you. Whether you realize it or not, just by putting out a positive image, people respond to that, and you in turn will feel a change as well.

It isn’t hard to smile. It may be a switch for you if you run around with anxiety and stress written all over your face…but if that is who you have been lately, realize that you have the power to change that. You have what it takes to feel better and to put positive energy forward. You are amazing. Don’t think that you are a victim…you are a creator. You have options. Start small – go BIG. But start with a smile. “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Do You Think That Nobody Cares?

So you don’t think anyone cares, huh?

Actually you’re worth more than a few missing car payments, or any of your bill payments…you have amazing options to do good things today.

Things may not be going quite the way you thought they would, but you continue to get a chance to change the direction that you are headed-every day.

Take today and do something different. Just one thing. Maybe test a new way of dealing with a co-worker. Try a positive approach, when a negative one is the first thing that comes to your mind.

Change your reality…one step at a time. You have all the power. You are amazing. “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Life

Sometimes we need to be reminded just how important “Life” is.

We can complain about people we have to deal with, repairs that need to be made to our car or our house, and even how frustrated we may feel with our children or our spouses.  But the most important thing to remember is that each day you are given 24 hours to make things better.

Even if you feel that you are miles away from where you want to be, either geographically or how you are living your life each day, how much energy are you donating to your own cause?  How much time are you spending on moving yourself into new experiences and trying to meet new people that will help you achieve your goals?

Take the next few days to appreciate your own personal life journey.  It already has been filled with ups and downs, heath challenges, financial problems, and more.  But you have to remember that you hold the key to change.  When you are focused on moving forward, toward achieving more and living your best life, the universe brings goodness to you.   “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

The Role Of Success

Success is something most people want to achieve. People have different methods of getting to their version of success, and different goals generate different types of success.

Failure can play a critical role in the development of success, because we have to experience some failures before success is achieved. Never let failure stop you…treat it as a stepping stone to get you where you are going.

People who move towards achieving success that brings them into the public eye, create a different set of issues. Actors, politicians, and other people who have careers that enter into our lives, have the potential to influence us. The most important thing to remember is that when YOU achieve success, acknowledge the power that it allows you to have, and use it wisely. It can be a very powerful opportunity to do well or to disappoint, and that is up to you.  Don't let success get to your head….make a difference!

Now let’s get going.” xo Sally

Find Something Good In Today

When you are faced with a new day, (especially on Mondays), challenge yourself to find something good to focus on.

Don’t let the routine drag you along with it. Open your eyes and look around you. See what is actually happening.

Be willing to smile when you see that it will make a difference in someone else’s day, because just smiling will make a difference in your day.

Avoid negative energy and negative talk. Don’t hang around people who are negative, because it will most definitely rub off on you at some point. Smile and keep going.

Go up to a family member who has a case of the grumps and ask them “what good thing has happened today?” Get people to recognize and reflect on something good that happened today, and realize that when you talk about good things, good things happen.

Thoughts Are Things

For the next few days, let’s try to dream our dreams and think of ways to make them a reality. Take some quiet time to plan some ideas that will take your dreams to the next level.

Whether it is a plan that you have secretly been working on to start a new business, or figure out a way to change your schedule to give yourself some free time, take the time to plan a plan and make it happen.

It’s easy to talk yourself out of it. We often put ourselves last. I am encouraging you to make the time to work on that plan, because it will bring you more joy than you have now.

Why wouldn’t you want that? Wait…you do want that. So do it! What kind of plan would improve your life? Remember; Thoughts are Things.  “Now let’s get going.” xo Sally

9-11-2014

A Heartfelt Happy Patriot’s Day- on the 13th Anniversary of 9-11-2001.

We all can remember where we were when the bombings took place, and the world remains a frightening place.

Evil exists. It is our duty to be vigilant and care for our fellow citizens. There are many different opinions related to how this Country should be run, what decisions should be made and what our goals and ethics should be. Let us not lose sight of the reality that this Country is very young, compared to other countries in the world. We have made our share of mistakes, but we have also brought hope and prosperity to many around the world.

Join us today with feelings of remembrance for those that lost their lives through no fault of their own on this day, 13 years ago. Let’s have a day of gratitude and thanks for all this Country stands for, and for the pride we share for our men and women in uniform, that allow us to live our lives with more freedom than anywhere else in the world. “Now let’s get going.” xo Sally
