Nothing can replace a child’s love for their family or a parent’s love and concern for their child, especially at Christmas.
Christmas is a season that is often criticized for becoming too commercial. It is true that we may spend too much money and could be criticized for “impulse buying,” Many times it is the only time of the year where people feel hopeful. To have a time of the year when your prayers and wishes are your focus-is an amazing time.
Tonight as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, remember the message. This was the gift of all gifts. For those who are Christians the religious significance of Christmas Eve surrounds us in wonder, and the security of knowing that our lives have the potential to be in peace if we accept the gift we have been given.
The real gifts we are given are not things. They are our parents, our teachers, our dedicated caregivers and those who live their lives with honesty and truth. Share YOU with your loved ones this Christmas. Each day is a gift and we all need to be reminded to make the most of it.
May you each have a blessed and inspiring Christmas Eve. Believe in the light and love of tonight.
God bless you all. xo Sally
