We all make mistakes. We make many of them when we are younger…but aging does not prevent us from making more mistakes.
We have to make a conscious effort to learn from our mistakes, to stop making the same ones over and over.
What the goal should be is this; once we have realized our error, whether it is something we have done or said, we need to decide what we can change to avoid making the same mistake again. If you need to learn better ways to communicate with your family, friends or co-workers start listening to how others communicate. If you need to learn how to avoid getting involved with the wrong people, start going to places where successful people hang out. Church groups may offer another alternative. Seek out supportive people that are interested in seeing you succeed.
Identify what successful people say and do to get their point across and see how they become successful in developing positive outcomes. Living each day provides you with a learning environment that can allow you to not only learn alternative ways to be successful; it can give you a second chance to try again.
Don’t give up. Look at mistakes as stepping stones to greatness. If you were not making mistakes, you would not be making progress. Do your best. Be a blessing to others. Things will improve.
