There are a lot of people out there who think procrastination is a bad thing. Not me.
But there is a certain art to it. You see, you have to decide what is REALLY important, and what isn't a big deal. The REALLY important stuff has to do with breathing and surviving. The other things just kind of drain you...if you let them.
I have worked with many people who just have a fit if the bed isn't made and the counters aren't clean. In fact they can't seem to think straight if everything isn't neat and tidy...and then they try to manage "everything else."
Here's today's advice...believe that that challenge you are going through isn't as important as how you are coping with it. You will get through this when you decide to be less hard on yourself and decide to love your situation.
LOVE THIS? (I can hear you from here) Yes. Life is about learning and living and believing. Believe that you are going to make it through this challenge, whether you are the patient or the care partner. Why? Because life still holds wonderful opportunities for you. What you are learning through your journey is going to make you an expert pretty soon...in something. We just have to sit still long enough to figure out what you are getting good at.
Share lessons that you are learning from managing your situation at our Blog. You will be a blessing to someone else, who thinks they are alone in their struggle. Forget about the counter tops and look in the mirror and say "I am going to be happy today."
