Rejection comes in all forms. Sometimes when we “feel” rejected, it is just the way we have chosen to perceive what has happened. We don’t look at the big picture. We get caught in a mix of confusion regarding what is happening and what we think is happening.
Whether at work or at home, when you are forced to recognize that your actions, your suggestions, your thoughts and even your beliefs appear to be minimized by those around you, stop for a minute and think about it.
What you may be experiencing is just a temporary impression that “you” are being rejected because your suggestions or your desires are not shared fully by the rest of your family or coworkers. It most likely is not you as a person, but you may feel like it. Stop yourself from going there.
Realize that your goals and your thoughts are usually directly related to your beliefs. It is important to be firmly planted in beliefs that are positive and promote good. If you tend to be negative you need to work on seeing the positive. Be still and listen to those around you. If you are the positive one and you find yourself surrounded by negativity, consider that your sign to move on to the next best thing! “Now, let’s get going!” xo Sally
