Do you have problems with your memory? One of the most effective ways of dealing with memory challenges is to keep your sense of humor.
Whether you are the one with the memory challenges or you are caring for someone who struggles with remembering things, implement ways to manage your situation, to keep from losing your ability to stay calm.
Here is one idea: Get a small white board at the local office supply store and put it on the front of your refrigerator. Every morning write the day, the date, and what is happening that day. If you are meeting friends for dinner at 6 p.m. write it on the board.
Every time you are asked (again), “what time are we going to dinner?” direct the person to the white board, so the habit of going to the board becomes a routine. It can become the place to get the answers for the day…rather than having to answer the same question over and over.
