Keeping The Faith

“Keeping the Faith” is something that we must strive to do each day. There are obstacles we all hit and there are challenges that seem impossible to overcome.

What do we do when we hit those walls? How do you shake off the negative and keep promoting the positive?

You have to set your sights on positive thoughts. You have to look yourself in the mirror each and every morning and tell yourself that you are strong, and that you have the ability to make today a positive experience. You have to build that sense of faith in your spirit.

You will overcome the obstacles that you face. You will learn how to manage that problem that seems overwhelming. You can do it and you will do it. You have to “talk faith” into your spirit each and every day.

Challenge yourself today. Believe that you have what it takes to get past where you are and head toward your goal! “Now, let’s get going!” xo Sally

Love Is Something You Do

What we do each day defines who we are. How we choose to consistently approach things, creates the image that we share with others.

Is your behavior a conscious part of your day? Do you pay attention to the messages that your behavior sends to others?

Being kind is a choice. Smiling is a choice. Showing compassion is a choice. The benefit of sharing those behaviors is that you can share your love with others.

Whether you are a caregiver, the person challenged with a health issue or if you are one of the fortunate that has nothing difficult to deal with today, choose to “do” kindness today. You will be empowered, strengthened and blessed for the good you choose to do.

Figuring It Out

Some people can’t make a change or try something new until they are “sure” that it will work.   How can any of us be sure of anything? We don’t control the universe. We just don’t have that power.

When we question things, and wonder if what we plan to do is the right thing for us, we have to look at all of the options and make sure that we are surrounding ourselves with people that we can learn from. You need to be around people that support you. We can’t see the future.

We need to believe that when we move forward with good intentions, and know that by changing our course we will be a blessing to those around us, that makes the step forward the right step to take.

Believe that your steps are being guided with purpose. You have everything it takes to be a winner.

The Importance of Beauty

What are your best qualities? Do you tend to put your emphasis on how you look, more than your daily routine or daily behavior?

Whether you are a caregiver, friend, spouse, daughter, son, it doesn’t matter. How you treat others matters most. That will be how others remember you.

People tend to think of the phrase “how you will be remembered,” as being a time when you are about ready to leave the world – permanently. That is not what you need to focus on. You leave your impression every day. Your reputation and your behavior speaks for itself. Your hairstyle, outfit and new car make an impression. Your behavior creates who you are.

Allow your inner beauty to shine today. Be kind. Treat others well. That creates good memories.

Your Past

Don’t worry about your Past.

What’s happened back there, stays back there. Your future is unknown, but you have the ability to seek it, shape it, and make it 100 times better than your Past.

You’ve learned lessons. You’re a stronger person. You have experience. Leave the negative thoughts out of it. Do not let a negative Past turn into a negative Future. You are prepared to have a great future. You have what it takes to turn yourself around and become all that you have been created to be.

Don’t wait a minute to get started. Believe in yourself. You are amazing.  “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Encouragement

When we are faced with frustration, and we can’t seem to visualize a time when our current circumstances will be better, we need encouragement.

Sometimes you may not be fortunate enough to have someone ready and willing to give you the “push” forward that you need to continue. What do you do then?

Seek out encouraging people. Identify what in particular seems to be at the root of your frustration and look for some answers to help you cope. There may be help out there that you are not aware of, but you won’t find any solutions without some effort.

Don’t forget that you can encourage others as well. We are all in this thing called “life” together. It can get better. You will be able to see the potential to improve things if you have that attitude. Get rid of the feelings of despair and anger…turn those feelings into hope and possibilities.

Kind Words

Kind words. There is nothing that helps a situation more. Even if your situation is challenging, regardless of who or what challenges you, you get further with kind words.

People are less able to be angry or frustrated with you, when you choose kind words to express yourself. They go a long way. Saying thank you, offering a smile instead of a look of indifference, creates an opportunity to encourage people.

We all need to be encouraged. What one person is facing, may be different than another, but there is no one that does not appreciate kind words.

Those words can mean more to someone than you give them credit for. Try it today. Start out your week with an attitude of gratitude and be aware of the good you can do for others today.

Choose To Be A Comforter

Caregiving is a balance. You have multiple things to do each day, and your days may seem endless at times.

The goal today is to not schedule more to do than you can do, and allow yourself at least one hour to do something that you want to do for you.

Many times we try to fit the type of schedule we used to have, into the additional responsibilities we have now. It doesn’t work.

To keep yourself positive and energized, you have to read positive things, think positive thoughts, and do some physical activity that will allow you to generate positiv energy for you.

Choose not to be angry. Instead choose tolerance. Remember that there are still some things you can control, and the main one is what you choose to say and how you say it.

Just by changing how you express your thoughts, you may be able to change the environment you are in. Choose to be a comforter.

You are amazing…believe it!   “Now let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Be Led By Your Dreams

What are you dreaming about? How do you visualize your life and where you are going?

Do you take the time to see yourself in a better place or frame of mind? You are in control of all of it, whether you believe it or not.

What you think about-comes about. If you live each day stressed out and thinking that your life will never improve, that your caregiving days are difficult

and that your life has no purpose….think again.

You were put on this earth to give AND receive. You are given 24 hours each day to choose how you look at life. The people that surround you may

not be positive. They may not encourage you. Decide today that You will encourage You. Start now. You will start to see a change on the inside.

That is where it begins. You are amazing…believe it!            “Now let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Anything Is Possible

I think everyone has nerve.  Some people have more than others.

When people choose to be bold and obnoxious about it, that’s one behavior that catches your eye.  But when a person has the courage or “nerve” to do better or be better, and chooses to behave in a way that is positive and supportive, that is a recipe for success.  No matter what age you are!

There will always be people who are uninterested in seeing you succeed.  Go past them.  Work with the people that WANT you to be successful.  That is where you will learn, become better and become stronger.  You are amazing.  Believe it.  “Now let’s get going!”  xo Sally
