Alzheimer’s Support Group The Alzheimer’s Project offers several family support groups. Respite care is available for all groups. For more information, call the Alzheimer’s Project at (850) 386-2778 or the Tallahassee Memorial Memory Disorder Center at (850) 431-5001.
Brain Injury Support Group The Tallahassee Memorial NeuroScience Center offers The Big Bend Brain Injury Support Group for survivors of brain injury, their families and professionals in related fields. The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Conference Room A (in the Cafeteria) of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. For more information, call the NeuroScience Center at (850) 431-5037.
Cancer Survivor Support Group Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month, 5:30-7pm at Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center, 1775 One Healing Place (off Surgeons Drive near the intersection of Miccosukee Road.) Open to all who have had a diagnosis of cancer. For more information call 431-4226.
Caregivers Support Group The Caregivers Support Group meets the second Friday of each month at noon at the Woodmont Assisted Living Community, 3702 N. Monroe St. A light lunch is provided and respite care is available onsite with advanced notice. Transportation to the group can also be provided, if needed. For more information, call (850) 431-5037.
Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance of Tallahassee This support group meets every Monday from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center Cafeteria, located at 1616 Physician’s Drive. For more information, call (850) 421-9252 or to leave a Voice Mail Only at (850) 431-5160.
Diabetes Support Group The Tallahassee Memorial Diabetes Center offers a support group for adult patients and their families. Sessions consist of an educational component, discussion and question and answer session. Meetings for 2012 will be held in August and November. Diabetes Family Support Group The Diabetes Family Support Group offers educational and emotional support to families of children with Type 1 diabetes. It generally meets in the evenings on a quarterly basis at the Tallahassee Memorial Diabetes Center, 1981 Capital Circle NE. Epilepsy Support Group The Epilepsy Association of the Big Bend offers a support group for people with Epilepsy as well as families and friends. For more information, call (850) 222-1777.
 
Hepatitis Support Group The Hepatitis Support Group meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Diabetes Education Center, 1981 Capital Circle, NE 32308. For more information, call: (850) 443-8029.
“I CAN COPE” Support Group TMH works in partnership with the American Cancer Society to provide education for newly diagnosed cancer survivors and caregivers. For more information or exact dates, call Angela Singh: (850) 599-3369.
“Look Good, Feel Better” Support Group The American Cancer Society program helps restore appearance and self image for cancer patients and survivors. Meetings are held every other month at the TMH Cancer Center, 1775 One Healing Place, 32308 (off Surgeons Drive near the intersection of Miccosukee Road). Multiple Sclerosis Tallahassee MS Support Group Meets on the second Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m. Lafayette Park Center, 501 Ingleside Ave., Tallahassee 32303. For more information call: (850) 431-5037.
Ovarian Cancer Support Group 2nd Monday of Every Month at 5:30pm Meets at Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center Please contact Mittie Moffett for more information at 850-443-8251 or 850-893-1596 The Big Bend Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's mission is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer in the greater Big Bend area of Florida. The Chapter is comprised of ovarian cancer survivors, their families, and friends. We invite anyone with an interest in raising awareness about ovarian cancer to join our efforts or if you need support, are looking for information, or would like to volunteer.
 
Parkinson’s Support Group The Big Bend Parkinson’s Support Group meets quarterly (April, July, October) at 12:30 at Cherry Laurel Retirement Community on Mahan Drive. The People with Parkinson’s (PWP) Support Group meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on the corner of Meridian Road and Tharpe St. For exact date, call the Tallahassee Memorial Parkinson’s Center at (850) 431-5082.
 
Stroke Support Group The Stroke Support Group is for stroke survivors and their families. The meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at HarborChase Senior Living Community, 100 John Knox Road. A light lunch is provided.
